You may receive the following error when trying to book an international shipment with DHL Parcel UK: "The ShipperEORI field is required. The field ShipperEORI must be a string or array type with a minimum length of '14'.". Don't worry, it is quick and easy to fix and you should only need to do this once.


The problem is that you are missing some account details in your DHL Parcel UK account. First, log into iConsign (https://iconsign.dhlparcel.co.uk) with either your iConsign credentials or the username and password you have entered into your DHL Parcel UK settings in Shiptheory:


Once logged in, navigate to Accounts > Maintain Account: 


  1. Select the account you would like to update details for.
  2. If you are VAT registered, select the correct option and enter your VAT registration number.
  3. Enter your EORI number. More information about EORI numbers and how to obtain one can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/eori
  4. Click Save. If required, select another account (1) and repeat these steps.
