It's possible to book Click and Collect shipments with An Post where your shipments are sent to a specified An Post collection point for your customers to collect at their convenience.

To do this you simply need to select the Click & Collect enhancement as part of your shipping rules or when booking a manual shipment and provide the Location Code (GROF) of the An Post collection point of where you want the shipment to be sent. There are two ways you can provide the Location Code in your shipment details, described below.

Use an Address Field

You can enter the An Post collection point Location Code (GROF) into one of the address fields of the recipient address. Shiptheory will then pick up and use the ID from this address field to book the shipment.

By default, Shiptheory is set to look in Address Line 2, but you can change this to any other part of the recipient's address from your An Post advanced settings.

From your An Post carrier settings, click the grey Advanced Settings icon in the bottom left corner of the page. Under the

Click & Collect Location Code Field option, select the address line in which you would like Shiptheory to look.

Use Delivery Instructions

You can enter the An Post collection point Location Code (GROF) into the shipment's delivery instructions. Shiptheory will then detect and use the Location Code from this field to book the shipment.

Simply add the Location Code into your delivery instructions field on a new line in the following pattern:
grof: 0000
