Transglobal Express require all of your declared product, package (parcel) and shipment weights to match. That is to say:
- The total weight of all products in a package cannot be greater than the declared weight of the package
- The total weight of all packages cannot be greater than the declared weight of the shipment
As such, Shiptheory will automatically divide your shipments' products into the specified number of boxes as evenly as possible by weight. Additionally, we offer two methods to ensure that your shipments' weights always obey the rules detailed above.
Auto-update Shipment Weights
Update total shipment weight
If you enable this option, Shiptheory will obey the weights of all your shipments' products. Each package weight will match the total weight of its contents and your declared shipment weight will be the total of all shipment packages. Note: the total shipment weight declared to Transglobal may differ from the total shipment weight shown in Shiptheory.
Update product weights
By selecting this option, Shiptheory will proportionally update the weights of your products to ensure that the total shipment weight submitted to Transglobal Express will match the shipment weight shown in Shiptheory.
Maximum Package Weight
If you would like Shipthery to ensure that no shipment package (parcel) ever exceeds a certain weight, you can specify this here:
Note that entering a weight here could result in Shiptheory adding extra boxes to your shipments if required.
