Some Jersey Post services require a valid Jersey Post format. For a shipment with multiple parcels of the same format and size you can use a combination of the default package sizes in the Jersey Post settings and the pre-set formats in Shiptheory or use Shiptheory's package sizes.
TABLE OF CONTENTS
Formats, Default Dimensions and Box Count
Default dimensions are used to define the width length and height of all parcels.
Formats are used to define the format code for all parcels.
Box count is used to define the number of parcels to submit.
Package Sizes
Jersey Post does not impose naming limitations on packages, however only certain package names will result in a format code being attached to your Jersey Post parcel. Valid names are:
- Small
- Large
- Bulky
If you submit a package with a name which does not match the above, then the format code will be omitted for the corresponding parcel in the request Shiptheory makes to Jersey Post. This may result in errors for some services.
- Package 1 has a valid name of "Small". The dimensions for this package will be used and a format code will be added.
- Package 2 has an invalid name of "Test Package". The dimensions for this package will be used, but no format code will be added.
- The total number of packages is used to define the number of parcels requested.
