If you are booking in a FedEx order to Jersey or Guernsey and you're receiving the following error: There was an error when communicating with FedEx: (ORGORDEST.SPECIALSERVICES.NOTALLOWED) This special service type is not allowed for the origin/destination pair. Please update and try again.
This is because FedEx do not support Electronic Trade Documents for Jersey and Guernsey.
Resolution:
You will need to access your FedEx advanced settings and disable the Enable Electronic Trade Documents setting or use another carrier integration where this option is disabled.
- Select the carriers button on the blue column to the left of the Shiptheory dashboard
- Find FedEx
- Scroll down until you find the 'Advanced Settings' button
