Supported Pallet Sizes by United Pallet Network


Within Shiptheory, there are two ways to select which pallets to use with United Pallet Network: by using Shiptheory packages or by using Format.


Shiptheory will automatically choose suitable pallet sizes that match your customized pallet dimensions and weights based on the name of your package (e.g. Full, Euro,  etc).


Method 1 - Using Shiptheory Package


Pallet shipments in Shiptheory require a package to be provided when booking. You can define your pallets sizes in Shiptheory package.



Click on the 'Add New Package Size' to create new package:


1. You must name your package with one of the following: Micro, Euro, Full, Half, Quarter+, Quarter

2. Choose Pallet in the drop down



After you have defined the pallet, you are ready to ship. For example, during a manual booking of shpiment. You can book a shipment with the packages just defined. Shiptheory will use the pallet type 'Full' and find a suitable sizes for you.





Method 2 - Using Shipment Format


You can also book the shipment using Format. In this case, please first enter the default dimensions for then Pallet in setting



When booking a shipment, select the supported Pallet from the Format list. Shiptheory will automatically find a suitable size for your with the default dimension specified in the setting. The weigh of each pallet will be equally divived by the shipmen weight with the number of boxes:




Reference - UPN Pallet Type and Sizes


Below is a list of United Pallet Network (UPN) pallet type and size variants for your reference, including Oversize, Out of Gauge 2 (OOG2), and Out of Gauge 3 (OOG3), available across different pallet types such as Full, Euro, Half, Quarter, Quarter+, and Micro.


You do not need to specify the size as Shiptheory will automatically choose the right size for you.
